The Fashion Designer and Shoe Brand “Piola Foot Print” behind Nigeria Super Eagles Ceremonial outfit to 2018 World Cup called out the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation) over non payment of debt.
This is a fresh scandal we hope would not be swept under the carpet. In an instagram post, @Gt Stitches cried out over the refusal of the NFF to pay for the ceremonial outfit made it form of a senator suit design for the Super Eagles team.
I find this very disturbing and entirely shameful because this outfit was featured on international publications like GQ magazine and BBC as the best outfit at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
How do you owe someone for almost a year and close all communication channels?smh.
What’s even worse is that the Footwear brand @piolafootprints who collaborated with @gt_stitches as the official footwear designer for the Super Eagles Team were also not paid for the work they did. Fam! which way Nigeria? smh
This is horrible and also a clear indicator that all that glitters is not gold. Imagine the initial happiness both brands must have had after being approached by the NFF to work with the football team only to be disappointed at the end of the day.
The comment section has been on fire since Instablog carried the story. Some people say it may be a contract gone wrong. Probably someone embezzled the funds for the project.
Anyway, I hope the officials of the NFF react to this shameful public disgrace they brought on themselves and the vendors get paid at the end of the day.
ADVICE OF THE DAY
Always collect your money before working for the Government or the Elite to avoid stories that touch lol.
